SETTING THE SCENE

  • Saint Louis (9-17, 2-11 A-10) hosts the George Washington Revolutionaries (14-12, 3-10 A-10) on Saturday afternoon at Chaifetz Arena.
  • It's the start of a two-game homestand for the Bills to close out February. After Saturday's game, A-10 leader Richmond comes to Chaifetz on Wednesday, Feb. 28, for a 7 p.m. tip. 
  • Saturday's game will be televised on Bally Sports Midwest Extra and streamed live on ESPN+. Alexa Datt and Scott Highmark will be calling the action. Click here for channel numbers for Bally Sports Midwest Extra.
  • Saturday's game can be found on the radio on KFTK 97.1 FM, as there is a programming conflict on KMOX. Billiken Hall of Famers and longtime SLU men's basketball radio partners Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will the call the action for all SLU games, both at home and on the road.
PROMOTIONS
  • The annual Great Baby Race, sponsored by Royal Banks of Missouri, will take place at halftime on the Chaifetz Arena court. Babies will race (crawl) across the court for the chance at savings bonds courtesy of Royal Banks of Missouri.
  • All SLU students in attendance will receive a replica gray Billiken basketball jersey.
ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
  • Saint Louis (9-17, 2-11 A-10) plays its next two games at home, beginning Saturday afternoon when the Bills host George Washington at Chaifetz Arena.
  • The Billikens are coming off an 81-66 loss at Duquesne on Tuesday night and have lost three straight.  
  • Sincere Parker leads SLU with 15.9 ppg. He is coming off a stretch where he scored 30-plus points in three straight games, one of two Billikens in school history to accomplish that feat (Larry Hughes in 1998).
  • Gibson Jimerson is second on the Bills with 14.0 ppg. The seventh-leading all-time scorer at SLU needs six more 3-pointers to surpass the school record of 295. He is SLU's all-time leader in 3-pointers attempted in a career (728).
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. is third on the team in scoring with 13.0 ppg. He needs 19 more points to become the 37th Billiken to reach 1,000 career points. Hargrove has scored in double-figures the last three games, averaging 18.0 ppg over that stretch.
  • Bradley Ezewiro is fourth on the Billikens with 12.7 ppg and leads the team with 6.1 rpg.
  • Cian Medley is No. 7 among freshmen in school history with 86 assists this season.
  • Kellen Thames is coming off a career-high-tying 12 points at Duquesne. He also dished out a career-best four assists against the Dukes.
LAST TIME OUT         
  • Duquesne topped Saint Louis 81-66 on Tuesday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball action at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh, Pa.
  • Saint Louis fell to 9-17 overall and 2-11 in the A-10. Duquesne moved to 16-10 and 6-7 in the league, improving its turnaround after beginning A-10 play 0-5.
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. led the Billikens with 17 points, followed by Bradley Ezewiro who scored 13. Kellen Thames matched a career high with 12 points, while Gibson Jimerson scored 12 points.
  • Jimerson finished with two treys and is now six away from surpassing Billiken great Erwin Claggett for most 3-pointers in a career (295) by a Billiken.
  • Duquesne's Dae Dae Grant led all scorers with 31 points as the Dukes shot 51 percent from the field. Duquesne won the battle on the glass, 34-29.
 ABOUT THE REVOLUTIONARIES      
  • The George Washington University (Washington, D.C.) Revolutionaries enter Saturday's game 14-12 overall and 3-10.
  • The Revolutionaries were 11-2 in nonconference play and began the conference season 3-1, but they have dropped nine in a row.
  • James Bishop IV leads the Revs and ranks third in the A-10 in scoring with 17.9 ppg. He also leads GW in assists with 114.
  • Darren Buchanan Jr. (15.2 ppg), Garrett Johnson (13.4 ppg) and Maximus Edwards (12.3 ppg) also score in double figures. Johnson has buried a team-leading 52 3-pointers.
  • Babatunde Akingbola leads the A-10 and is fifth nationally in total blocks (70) and blocks per game (2.69).
  • The Revs lead the league in defensive rebounds per game (28.5) and blocks per game (5.1). They are second in the A-10 in rebounds per game (38.0), free throws made per game (15.7) and scoring offense (78.2 ppg).
  • Head coach Chris Caputo is in his second season at GW with a 30-28 record. He came to the Revs after serving as Miami's associate head coach since 2015.
SERIES HISTORY        
  • This is the 23rd meeting all-time between the Billikens and Revolutionaries.
  • Saint Louis leads the all-time series 13-9 and have won six in a row.
  • GW has never won in St. Louis in nine previous trips.
  • The last win in the series for the Revs came in the 2017 A-10 Championship in Pittsburgh. That was Travis Ford's first year as head coach of the Billikens.
