WBB Preview: Billikens Finish Regular-Season Road Slate at La Salle

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University (12-17, 7-9) continues its Atlantic 10 Conference schedule Wednesday when the Billikens travel to La Salle (7-20, 4-12). Tip-off for the team's final regular-season road game is set for 5:30 p.m. (CST) at Tom Gola Arena.

The Opening Tip… 
  • La Salle enters the matchup with a 7-20 overall record and a 3-10 conference mark. 
  • The Explorers' sit in 12th place in the league with two regular-season games remaining.
  • SLU enters the matchup with an 12-17 record after getting back in the win column Sunday defeating St. Bonaventure, 83-61.
  • With two regular season games remaining the Billikens are tied for ninth in the A-10. Both SLU and Fordham's conference marks sit at 7-9. The Rams hold the tiebreaker after their win over the Billikens last week.
  • The Billikens had two players - Kyla McMakin, 30; Peyton Kennedy, 23 - score 20-plus points in the win over St. Bonaventure for the first time since Jan. 20 at GW. 
  • The Billikens shot their second-highest percentage of the season from the floor against St. Bonaventure (57.4 percent) going 35-61 from the field.
  • Peyton Kennedy's 31-point performance on Sunday was not only a career high for the senior forward but was an individual game high for any Billiken player this season.
  • Against VCU on Feb. 7, Kyla McMakin's 15-point effort made her just the third-ever NCAA women's basketball player to score 1,000 points at two separate institutions.
