ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
  • The Billikens have won three out of their last five games. They are coming off a 73-65 win at St. Bonaventure in the regular-season finale.
  • The Billikens are the only A-10 team to go to the semifinals in each of the last four A-10 Championships.
  • Both of SLU's A-10 tournament crowns have come at the Barclays Center. The Billikens won the first A-10 Championship in this building in 2013. In 2019, SLU won four games in four days to capture the A-10 title.
  • Gibson Jimerson averages 15.3 ppg and has scored in double figures in seven straight games. He is averaging 21.8 ppg and 3.6 3-pointers made over the last five contests.
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. is third on the Billikens in scoring and second in rebounding. He led the Bills with 17 points at St. Bonaventure.
  • Larry Hughes II has scored in double figures in five straight.
  • Kellen Thames leads SLU in FG percentage (.597, 80-134). That's currently sixth best in a single season in school history.
  • Cian Medley's 115 assists are second among freshmen in a single season in school history.
  • Leading scorer Sincere Parker (15.9 ppg) left the URI game March 2 with a shoulder injury and has not played since.
  • Travis Ford owns a 10-5 record in A-10 Men's Basketball Championship games as SLU's head coach.
LAST TIME OUT
  • Saint Louis got contributions from a variety of Billikens in a 73-65 win over St. Bonaventure Saturday in Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball action at the Reilly Center.
  • Terrence Hargrove Jr. led the Bills with 17 points, while Larry Hughes II and Gibson Jimerson tallied 15 points apiece.
  • Cian Medley had a double-double (career highs of 10 rebounds and 10 assists). He also scored seven points.
  • Bradley Ezewiro chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds. Kellen Thames had eight points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.
ABOUT THE RAMS
  • Like the Billikens, Rhode Island is also coming off a win in the regular-season finale as it won on the road at Fordham last time out.
  • The Rams started the A-10 season 3-0, but were on a seven-game slide before winning at Fordham.
  • David Green (14.3 ppg), Jaden House (14.0 ppg) and Luis Kortright (10.0 ppg) are the Rams' top scorers. David Fuchs leads Rhody in rebounding at 6.6 rpg.
  • Head coach Archie Miller is in his second season at the helm of Rhode Island, his second stint in the A-10. Prior to spending four years at Indiana, Miller was head coach at Dayton from 2011-17, leading the Flyers to four straight NCAA appearances from 2014-17, including a run to the Elite 8 in 2014.
SERIES HISTORY
  • This is the 26th meeting all-time between the Billikens and Rams.
  • Rhode Island leads the series 13-12, but SLU has won five in a row. The last Rhody win in the series came in the 2018-19 season.
  • This is the third time the Billikens and Rams are meeting up in the A-10 Championship. In the 2010 A-10 Championship, the fifth-seeded Rams upended the fourth-seeded Billikens at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The teams met again in the 2011 A-10 Championship in a first-round matchup that took place on campus at Rhode Island's Ryan Center.
LAST TIME VS. THE RAMS
  • Saint Louis defeated the Rams a little more than a week ago on March 2, 94-91 at the Ryan Center.
  • Gibson Jimerson scored a season-high 30 points for the Bills. Larry Hughes II had a career-high 17 points and dished out four assists. Stef van Bussel had 10 rebounds and six points, including four critical points in the final two minutes that helped the Bills seal the win.
