•Saint Louis (16-11, 4-2 A-10) plays its first Atlantic 10 Conference road series of the season March 29-30 against George Washington. Friday's doubleheader and Saturday's single game start at 11 a.m. Central.
•Both Friday games will be streamed on ESPN+; the Saturday game will not be streamed. Live stats are available for all three games. See the links above.
•SLU is coming off a 2-1 series victory vs. Saint Joseph's last weekend. The Billikens lost the opener 5-4 but rebounded to register 7-2 and 5-4 victories.
•George Washington did not qualify for the 2023 A-10 Championship, posting records of 17-28 overall and 7-19 in the league. However, the 2024 Revolutionaries (17-13, 4-2 A-10) already have equaled last season's victory total and are tied with SLU and Saint Joseph's for the early conference lead. GW took two of three from Loyola Chicago and Dayton in its first two A-10 series, winning games two and three after dropping the opener in both sets.
•The Revolutionaries lead the all-time series 28-25. The Billikens claimed two of three in St. Louis last year, winning 11-3 and 8-7 before falling 3-2 in the finale.
•Isabel Royle earned A-10 Rookie of the Week honors for March 18-24, her second ROTW award this season.
•Saint Louis leads the A-10 in eight categories – fielding percentage (.973), on-base percentage (.395), runs per game (5.70), home runs per game (0.89), batting average (.307), slugging percentage (.462), ERA (2.97) and winning percentage (.593). The Billikens hold national top-60 rankings in fielding percentage (31st), on-base percentage (36th), runs per game (48th), home runs per game (51st), batting average (55th) and slugging percentage (60th).
•In A-10 games only, SLU has a .393 batting average, a .560 slugging percentage and a .455 on-base percentage, resulting in 6.5 runs per game. The pitching staff has combined to produce a 2.10 ERA.
•Cami Newbanks tops the league in on-base percentage (.563), batting average (.453), slugging percentage (.827) and total bases (62). Newbanks is 11th in on-base percentage, 21st in RBIs per game (1.19, second in the A-10), 23rd in batting average and 26th in slugging percentage in NCAA Division I.
•Also leading the A-10 are Abby Mallo in home runs per game (0.29); Natalie Sullivan in walks per game (0.85, 13th nationally); and Abby Ulsas in runs per game (0.85).
•UP NEXT: The Billikens host Lindenwood in a non-conference game Wednesday, April 3, at 5 p.m. before playing a three-game A-10 series at St. Bonaventure Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7.
