WBB Preview: SLU and Rhode Island to Clash in Semifinals of A-10 Tournament

HENRICO, Va. – No. 7-seeded Saint Louis University women's basketball (17-17, 9-9) continues its post-season journey Saturday taking on No. 6-seeded Rhode Island (20-13, 10-8) in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship. Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m. (CST) at the Henrico Sports & Events Center.

  • The Billikens stunned No. 2-seeded VCU Friday night defeating the Rams by three points in the championship quarterfinals.
  • Peyton Kennedy scored 22 points in the win while Kyla McMakin (15), and Brooklyn Gray (12) scored double figures for the second-straight game.
  • As a defense, the Billikens forced 17 VCU turnovers and converted them into 17 points while grabbing 10 steals as a team.
  • SLU shot 90.5 percent from the charity stripe, with 19-made free throws helping their 65-point effort.
