WBB Preview: Billikens Set for First-Ever Fab 4 Against Vermont

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University women's basketball (20-18, 8-9) continues its post-season journey Wednesday night when it travels to Vermont for the Fab 4 of the WNIT. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. (CST) at the Patrick Gymnasium in Burlington, Vt.

  • Julia Martinez recorded the Atlantic 10's first triple-double of the season in SLU's win over La Salle on Feb. 28, recording 11 rebounds, 10 points and 10 assists. The Chicago native followed it up by posting a second-straight triple-double on Senior night with 15 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.
  • Against VCU on Feb. 7, Kyla McMakin's 15-point effort made her just the third-ever NCAA women's basketball player to score 1,000 points at two separate institutions.
Saint Louis Makes History  
  • Saint Louis women's basketball will play in the WNIT's Fab 4 for the first time in program history Wednesday night.
  • This season is the latest the Billikens have ever played.
  • The Billikens 20 wins is only the third time in school history they have accomplished the feat.
  • This season also marks the first time in eight years that SLU has reached the 20-win mark.
  • Head coach Rebecca Tillett is 9-2 in post-season play at SLU.
  • This season marks the second time in school history that the Billikens have beaten two Power 5 institutions in the same season. 
  • Saint Louis is the third program to ever play in the Fab 4 of the WNIT.
