THE BASICS
George Mason scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning and defeated Saint Louis 3-2 Sunday afternoon at GMU Softball Complex.
 
SLU slipped to 25-17 overall and 13-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. With six conference games to play, the Billikens are tied with Fordham for second place behind Dayton (13-5).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
•George Mason took a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
•Saint Louis went on top in the third on Jane Kaniecki's two-run single.
•The Patriots pulled even with a run in their half of the third before winning it in the seventh.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Isabel Royle went the distance in the circle and allowed only two earned runs.
•Kaniecki also had a double for a two-hit game.
•Natalie Sullivan, Cami Newbanks and Kelsey Etling had a single apiece.
