THE BASICS
Chloe Rhine's three-run home run in the fifth inning powered Saint Louis to a 4-3 victory over Fordham in game two of a doubleheader Saturday, giving the Billikens a split of the Atlantic 10 Conference twin bill.

Fordham won the opener 3-2.
Â
With four conference games remaining, the Billikens (27-18, 14-8 A-10) and Rams (24-24-1, 14-8 A-10) remain tied for second in the A-10, two games behind Dayton (16-6). Saint Joseph's and Loyola Chicago are tied for fourth at 13-9, and Massachusetts (11-11) is sixth. The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the A-10 Championship, with the top two earning a first-round bye.

GAME 1 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•
Natalie Sullivan's two-run triple in the top of the third inning put Saint Louis on top 2-0.
•Fordham cut the Billikens' lead in half with an unearned run in the bottom of the third.
•The Rams scored twice in the seventh to win the game.

•Sullivan also doubled.

Kelsey Etling and
Kendall Johnson registered a double apiece.

Abby Ulsas collected a single.

GAME 2 – HOW IT HAPPENED
•Fordham took a 1-0 first-inning lead and made it 2-0 in the fourth.
•In the fifth, Rhine blasted her fourth homer of the season following singles by
Jane Kaniecki – the second of her three hits – and Etling.
•The Rams answered with a game-tying tally in their half of the fifth.
•Rhine came through again in the seventh, this time delivering a one-out triple. Pinch-runner
Karsen Jany scored what proved to be the game-winning run on
Jocelyn Abbott's two-out RBI double, Abbott's second two-bagger of the game.
•Fordham had the tying and winning runs aboard with one out in the bottom of the inning, but
Isabel Royle struck out the final two batters to seal the win.

GAME 2 – BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•Royle upped her record to 12-5. She struck out five and benefitted from two Saint Louis double plays.
•Ulsas and
Abby Mallo had a single apiece.
