Tommy Ray produced a 1-2-3 opening inning on the mound, getting the start for the Billikens. Offensively, SLU went to work, scoring seven unanswered runs highlighted by three-straight RBIs by
Cole Smith and a three-run
Drew Winters home run in the top of the fifth.
The Bulldogs scored their first run of the day in the bottom of the fifth inning, before tacking on a final score two innings later.
SLU's bats continued to put in work in the eighth, with its second, three-run bomb of the game -Â
Brenden Stressler's first of his collegiate career.
Back in action for the first time since March 24 against Cincinnati,
Hayden Moore made his return felt, driving in
Graham Mastros to solidify the Billikens' 10-run victory.
Owen Chaffin got the win on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings and striking out two batters.
SLU's game against the Bulldogs wraps up an eight-game road trip which saw the Billikens go 5-3.
SLU will be back in action this weekend hosting  George Mason for a three-game series. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. (CST) at the Billiken Sports Center.
