ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis has added 6-foot-9 forward
Kilian Brockhoff (Cuxhaven, Germany) to its roster, SLU men's basketball head coach
Josh Schertz announced. Brockhoff will begin his three years of eligibility at SLU in the 2024-25 academic year. Â
Â
"We are pleased to add a person and player like Kilian to our roster," Schertz said. "He fits us systematically with his combination of size, skill and the ability to think the game. Kilian also has the values we look for in terms of how he approaches his work, the kind of teammate he is and the way he competes to win. He is versatile enough to do some things defensively, and offensively, he is super skilled and understands his function within the team concept at a high level."
Â
Brockhoff transfers to SLU from UC Santa Barbara, where he appeared in 19 games for the Gauchos. He averaged 2.6 points on 15-of-38 shooting from the field and 11-of-29 from 3-point range. Brockhoff's top performance came against Bethesda in his collegiate debut when he drained a career-high 14 points.
Â
A native of Germany, Brockhoff has been part of Germany's national team setup throughout his youth. He was on the U-19 Germany team that placed second during the 2022 and 2023 FIBA European Championships.
Â
Brockhoff is the ninth new Billiken brought on by Schertz and the SLU staff. The Billikens have accounted for 12 of their 13 scholarships for the 2024-25 season.
