ST. LOUIS – Forward
Dylan Warlick has signed a scholarship agreement to attend Saint Louis University and play basketball for the Billikens, SLU head coach
Josh Schertz announced today.
Â
"Dylan is a unique player with an equally unique mindset that is the engine of his elite competitive motor," Schertz said. "He is a ferocious competitor who drives winning on every team he's played on. Being a great player and great winner are not synonymous, but the very best players are both, and Dylan is certainly that."
Â
Warlick won two state championships and reached the state semifinals every year playing at Edmond North High School in Oklahoma. As a senior, he was named the Oklahoma 6A-1 District Player of the Year after averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds. The Huskies advanced to the state title game in Warlick's senior season.
Â
Edmond North won state titles during Warlick's sophomore and junior seasons. He averaged more than 20 points as a sophomore turned in 15.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg as a junior.
Â
Warlick is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports.com. He initially signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Wyoming but asked for a release following a coaching change.
Â
Warlick is the 10th new Billiken brought on by Schertz and his staff. All 13 scholarships have been accounted for.
