ST. LOUIS – Four Saint Louis University women's soccer players have been recognized on Top Drawer Soccer's preseason awards lists.
 
Graduate defender Lyndsey Heckel was selected to the TDS Preseason Best XI first team and was rated the No. 5 player in the nation on the TDS Top 100 list. Senior forward Emily Gaebe was named to the Preseason Best XI second team and landed at No. 17 in the Top 100, while graduate goalkeeper Emily Puricelli was a Preseason Best XI third-team choice and the No. 31 player among the Top 100.
 
Redshirt-senior midfielder/forward Hannah Larson also made the Top 100 list, checking in at No. 46.
 
The Billikens, ranked eighth by Top Drawer Soccer and 12th by United Soccer Coaches in preseason polls, open the 2024 season Thursday, Aug. 15, against Kansas City. Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is slated for 7 p.m.
