For the first time since 1998, the Billiken Field Hockey program will play a match on-campus as the Billikens take on Central Michigan on Friday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. The Billikens also host Bellarmine on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m.

WELCOME HOME, BILLIKENS

The new SLU Field Hockey Complex is located along Chouteau Avenue between Grand and Compton Avenues. The facility includes a state-of-the art synthetic turf pitch that is Billiken blue in color with a green border. Surrounding the field are six high-pressure water cannons, which will water the field prior to and at halftime of matches to ensure the best playability. Bleachers accommodating a capacity of 300 fans are located on the south side of the field.

PARKING

Parking is available in the Hickory East Garage (3424 Hickory St, St. Louis, MO 63104). Please note the garage is a cashless facility. The cost is $2 per hour per exit, or $6 per day. Limited street parking is also located on Lasalle Street, which runs parallel to Chouteau Avenue. A facility map can be found here.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

Saint Louis went 3-13 overall and 1-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference play last season. Fifth-year head coach Zoe Adkins returns 12 players from last season and welcomes five freshmen into the fold.

Josefina Perez, the Billikens' leading scorer each of the last two seasons, was named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference team (read more). Shaya Dry and Sierra Larson, who tied for second last year with four goals apiece, also return for the Bills.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Â
Central Michigan finished 1-16 overall last year. The Bills and Chippewas last met in 2022, a 2-0 CMU win on a neutral field in East Lansing, Mich. Bellarmine went 7-10, which included a 3-1 win over the Billikens in Louisville a season ago.
