GAME DETAILS
•No. 19 Saint Louis scored a season-high four goals and registered its third shutout in four games in a 4-0 victory over Missouri State Thursday night in Springfield.
•The Billikens improved to 2-0-2, while the Bears slipped to 1-2-1.
•Lyndsey Heckel collected her first points of the season with a goal and an assist. Emily Gaebe tallied her team-leading third goal of the season, while Julia Simon and Audrey Smith each found the back of the net for the first time this year.
•Emily Puricelli made seven saves and combined on the clean sheet with Nimu Karani, who stopped the only shot on goal she faced.
•Heckel gave the Billikens all they would need with a penalty kick in the eighth minute. Simon, assisted by a long-range pass from Heckel, made it 2-0 in the 20th minute.
•In the second half, Gaebe took a cross from Hannah Larson in the 54th minute and volleyed it in for a 3-0 SLU advantage. Smith, assisted by Nina Preusser in a scramble, recorded her first collegiate goal in the 74th minute to conclude the scoring.

BILLIKEN NOTABLES
•The Billikens increased their series lead over Missouri State to 13-2-6. SLU is 5-0-1 and has not allowed a goal in its last six contests with the Bears.
•Saint Louis outshot Missouri State 19-13 overall and 14-9 in shots on goal. Twelve different Billikens had at least one shot, and 11 had at least one shot on goal.
•The Bills earned a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
•Emily Puricelli added to her SLU career record with her 69th win. Also the owner of the school record for goalkeeper minutes, Puricelli passed the 8,000-minute mark and now has 8,004:20 between the posts.
•Gaebe now has 35 career goals, just six behind SLU career leader Jamie Perry.
•Heckel now has 10 game-winning goals, tying Alyssa Seitzer, Dee Guempel and Kelly Ferguson for fourth place on the Billikens' career list.
•Larson and Preusser posted their first points of the season.
