 Saint Louis is home for a pair of field hockey matches this weekend, hosting Atlantic 10 Conference foe Richmond on Friday at 2 p.m. and Frostburg State on Sunday at noon. Both games will be played at the SLU Field Hockey Complex on the south campus.

WELCOME HOME, BILLIKENS

The new SLU Field Hockey Complex is located along Chouteau Avenue between Grand and Compton Avenues. The facility includes a state-of-the art synthetic turf pitch that is Billiken blue in color with a green border. Surrounding the field are six high-pressure water cannons, which will water the field prior to and at halftime of matches to ensure the best playability. Bleachers accommodating a capacity of 300 fans are located on the south side of the field. SLU is back playing on campus for the first time since 1998. Admission is free.

Parking is available in the Hickory East Garage (3424 Hickory St, St. Louis, MO 63104). Please note the garage is a cashless facility. The cost is $2 per hour per exit, or $6 per day. Limited street parking is also located on Lasalle Street, which runs parallel to Chouteau Avenue. A facility map can be found here.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

Saint Louis enters the weekend 0-4. Two of its matches have gone into overtime. The Billikens are coming off their first road game of the season last weekend at Ohio. In its last home game, the Billikens got a dramatic goal from Josefina Perez to send it into overtime, but Ball State got the win in overtime.

Perez, SLU's leading scorer the last two seasons and a preseason All-Atlantic 10 Conference pick, has scored all five goals for SLU. Olivia Smith (two), Sierra Larson and Abby Vidas have assists for the Bills.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION

Richmond | The Spiders enter Friday's match with a 4-2 overall record. Two of Richmond's victories have come in overtime, including its last outing Sunday at Longwood. Clara Larripa leads the Spiders and the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 16 points (7G, 2A). Richmond won last year's meeting 5-2 in Richmond.

Frostburg State | Frostburg State University (Frostburg, Maryland) competes in NCAA Division II. The Bobcats play at Maryville on Saturday before facing the Bills. FSU enters the weekend with a 2-2 record. It is coming off a thrilling 4-3 double overtime victory over Lander. Paige Leitzel leads the team with five goals.
