Saint Louis continues Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action on Saturday night when it faces the VCU Rams in Richmond, Va. Game time at Sport Backers Stadium is 6 p.m. (CT).

Saturday night's game will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Billikens enter Saturday's match 6-2-4 overall and 3-0-1 in A-10 play. They are coming off a 2-0 win at George Washington on Wednesday.

VCU is 4-4-4 overall and 1-1-2 in the A-10. The Rams have two top-25 victories this year, winning at then-No. 2 Clemson and knocking off No. 24 George Mason in their last outing.

SLU is ranked No. 18 in the College Soccer News poll. The Bills are just outside the Top 25 in the United Soccer Coaches poll as the first team receiving votes.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Saturday's match at VCU:

1 // Jeremi Abonnel was named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday (read more). It is the third straight week SLU has earned a weekly award – previously Theo Franca and Nick Schramm earned Rookie of the Week honors in back-to-back weeks. Earlier this season, Andrew Heckenlaible was named the A-10 Offensive Player of the Week.

2 // Abonnel made two saves at George Washington and is tied for third in the NCAA with seven shutouts. His 20 career clean sheets ranks No. 9 among active goalkeepers in Division I.

3 // Freshman Theo Franca leads the Bills with three goals. Two of his tallies were game winners – vs. SIUE and at Duquesne. Other Bills who have game-winning goals are Andrew Heckenlaible (SMU), Grady Easton (Seton Hall), Nick Schramm (La Salle) and Abdoul Karim Pare (George Washington).

4 // The Billikens enter the weekend one point out of first place in the league standings. First place is currently occupied by Fordham, which has played one more game than the Bills. The top eight teams make the A-10 Men's Soccer Championship at season's end. 

5 // Saint Louis leads the series over VCU 5-2-5. The two teams have tied the last three matches, including a 1-1 draw at Hermann Stadium last year. The last win by either team in the series was a 4-1 SLU win at Sport Backers Stadium in 2021.
