Billikens Turn Back Duquesne 2-1, Retain Share of A-10 Lead

GAME DETAILS
•Nina Preusser scored what proved to be the game-winning goal, the first of her Saint Louis career, in the 36th minute, and the Billikens held off a stubborn Duquesne team for a 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference victory Sunday afternoon at Hermann Stadium.
•SLU improved to 11-2-1 overall and 6-0 in the A-10 with its sixth consecutive win. The Billikens are unbeaten in their last nine games (8-0-1).
•Duquesne fell to 9-4-1, 4-2.
•Saint Louis remained tied with Dayton for first place in the A-10 with four games remaining. The Billikens and Flyers meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hermann Stadium.
•Lucie Schwartz put SLU in front in the 27th minute with an assist from Eva Schreiber. Schreiber flighted a perfect corner kick to Schwartz, who headed the ball inside the far post from just inside the six.
•Izzy Luebbert ignited the Bills' second scoring play with a thru ball to Caroline Chier on the left side. Chier fought off a Duquesne defender and crossed to a sliding Preusser, who converted into an open net from three yards out.
•Duquesne cut the margin in half in the 53rd minute on Brianna Moore's seventh goal of the season.
