WASHINGTON – Saint Louis senior defender Quinten Blair was named the Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Blair anchored the Billikens' back line in a pair of shutout victories last week. The SLU defense yielded just one shot on goal in the two games. In the 2-0 win against George Washington, the Revolutionaries managed just four shots (one on goal) in the game. SLU also won 2-0 at VCU and did not allow a shot on goal, with the Rams managing just five shots overall in the match. 

Blair played all 90 minutes in both contests. For the season, he has played in all 13 games and leads all field players in minutes played. 

Saint Louis (7-2-4, 4-0-1 A-10) hosts Fordham (7-2-3, 4-0-2 A-10) on Saturday night at Hermann Stadium in a 7 p.m. kickoff. The winner of Saturday's game will take over first place in the league with three weeks remaining in the regular season.
