WASHINGTON – Saint Louis University freshman Caroline Chier is the Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer Rookie of the Week for Oct. 6-12, the league office announced Monday.
 
Chier recorded the primary assist on Nina Preusser's game-winning goal in SLU's 2-1 victory over Duquesne Oct. 12. The assist was Chier's sixth of the season, tying her for the A-10 lead.
 
With the win, the Billikens (11-2-1, 6-0 A-10) extended their winning streak to six games and their unbeaten streak to nine games (8-0-1).
 
With four games remaining, Saint Louis is tied with Dayton for first place in the A-10. The Billikens host the Flyers Thursday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m.
