WASHINGTON – Saint Louis sophomore goalkeeper Abby Schalow was named the Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey co-Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today.

It is the third time this season that Schalow has earned A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Schalow made 10 saves Friday against La Salle, allowing just one goal in the double-overtime matchup. The Explorers ended up winning the match in a shootout. 

For the season, Schalow has a 1.82 goals against average and has made 76 total saves. Her .792 save percentage is ninth in NCAA Division I.

Schalow and the Billikens are back in action Sunday, hosting Lock Haven at the SLU Field Hockey Complex. Game time set for noon (CT).
