Saint Louis enters the weekend 0-5 in conference play, with two of those losses coming in five sets against two of the league's top three preseason teams.
Freshman setter
Jetta Brenning made history as the first Billiken to record a triple-double since 2012 and the first freshman to do so since 2006. She tallied 43 assists, 13 digs and a career-high 12 kills in the effort. Brenning ranks second in the conference in total assists with 542.
Kayla Jansen anchors the Billiken block and ranks fifth in the Atlantic 10 in total blocks.
Ellie Rink, a three-time A-10 Rookie of the Week honoree, recorded two double-doubles against VCU last weekend, including a 21-kill, 11-dig outing on Friday — her fourth 21-plus-kill double-double of the season. Rink ranks third in the league in kills per set at 3.73.
ABOUT THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the weekend undefeated in A-10 play after being selected as the league's unanimous preseason favorite.
The Flyers lead the conference in digs per set (15.12), led by libero Karissa Kaminski, who averages 4.25 per set. Kaminski also ranks third in the league with 28 service aces this season.
Liana Sarkissian leads the A-10 in hitting percentage at .389, while Kamryn Hunt, the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, paces the Flyers with 200 kills (3.51 per set).
