CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Saint Louis rallied from two goals down to send the game into overtime, but Queens ended up winning 3-2 in a shootout Saturday at Bessant Field in Charlotte, N.C.
The Billikens conclude their season 5-10 overall. Queens improves to 4-12.
The Royals went on top 2-0 in the first half before the Billikens struck on a penalty corner with time expired at the end of the second quarter. Hazel Merry and Macy Budd earned the assists on the goal by Olivia Smith.Â
The Billikens scored late in regulation to send the game into overtime. Sierra Larson tallied the equalizer off an assist from Ella Etherington.
Meanwhile, Kerri O'Donnell subbed in at halftime in goal and made six saves for the Bills.
In the shootout, Brynn Newborn and Abby Vidas converted their chances to keep the Billikens' hopes alive. But Enya Kemp scored the game-winning chance to give Queens the 3-2 match victory.
