WASHINGTON – Saint Louis sophomore guard Amari McCottry was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball co-Player of the Week, the league announced today.

McCottry helped the Billikens to a pair of victories last week. He averaged 21.5 points on 69.2 percent shooting from the field. McCottry also contributed 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

In SLU's 109-66 win over Lindenwood, McCottry led the way with a career-best 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting in just 24 minutes of action. He also grabbed nine rebounds and registered four steals.

Against Grand Canyon, McCottry had 20 points and four assists in helping the Billikens to an impressive 78-64 win over the Lopes.

McCottry is the Billikens' leading scorer at 17.3 ppg. He is shooting a sizzling 68.3 percent (28-of-41) from the field through the first four games.

The Billikens host Purdue Fort Wayne at Chaifetz Arena on Friday night. Game time is 7 p.m.
