Day One Complete Results
INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Louis swimming and diving turned in two top-10 individual performances Thursday on day one of the House of Champions Invitational at the Indiana University Natatorium.
Meghan Eng had the Billikens' best individual result of the day, finishing eighth in the 50 back (26.52). Eng also swam the leadoff leg on SLU's 400 medley relay team (ninth, 3:51.98) that also included
Kenna Cashman,
Marissa Williams and
Anya Brueggeman.
Other individual-event scorers were
Bayley Thompson, 13th in 3-meter diving (206.90);
Izabel Schmidt, 19th in the 50 free (23.88);
Sasha Jancekova, 21st in the 500 free (5:04.42);
Tierney Kohl, 28th in the 200 IM (2:07.13); Brueggeman, 29th in the 50 free (24.09);
Emmy Barrett, 29th in the 50 back (26.98); and Cashman, 32nd in the 200 IM (2:08.75).
Schmidt and Brueggeman were joined by
Hanna Whitney and
Sarah Dingus on the 200 free relay team that placed eighth (1:35.54).
Evan Crim finished 10th in the 50 back (22.93) to lead the Saint Louis men. Crim also swam with
Zach Byars,
Brae Sanchez and
Logan Townsend on the Bills' 400 medley relay team that placed seventh (3:19.79).
Byars scored in two individual events, finishing 21st in the 50 back (23.74) and 24th in the 200 IM (1:54.50).
Also scoring in individual events were
Kyle Algrim, 12th in the 500 free (4:29.89);
Ryan Fors, 16th in the 200 IM (1:52.94);
Ben Mears, 16th in 3-meter diving (210.90);
Frankie Adamo, 20th in the 50 back (23.72); Townsend, 21st in the 50 free (20.77);
Noah Benton, 22nd in the 200 IM (1:53.06); and
Drayton Beber, 29th in the 200 IM (1:54.05).
Tino Ferranti and
Jake Lundquist joined Adamo and Townsend on the ninth-place 200 free relay squad (1:22.71).
