Day Two Prelims Results
INDIANAPOLIS – Saint Louis swimmers reached seven championship finals Friday on day two of the House of Champions Invitational at the Indiana University Natatorium.
Kyle Algrim registered the Billikens' highest finish of the day, placing fourth in the 400 IM (3:56.34). Also competing in championship finals for the SLU men were
Brae Sanchez, fifth in the 50 breast (25.17) and eighth in the 100 breast (55.04);
Logan Townsend, sixth in the 200 free (1:39.27); and
Tino Ferranti, seventh in the 50 breast (25.23).
The Billiken women were led by
Kenna Cashman and
Hanna Whitney, who finished seventh (29.81) and eighth (29.99), respectively, in the 50 breast.
Two Saint Louis relay teams turned in sixth-place performances. The quartet of
Evan Crim, Sanchez,
Drayton Beber and Townsend clocked a time of 1:29.70 in the men's 200 medley relay.
Meghan Eng,
Faith McAdam,
Karis Reynaga and
Anya Brueggeman recorded a 7:37.94 in the women's 800 free relay.
