NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Saint Louis women's basketball closed out the Music City Classic with a 77-67 loss to Stetson on Wednesday morning at Trevecca Nazarene University.
 
Stetson opened with an 11-4 lead before the Billikens answered with an 8-0 run to go up 12-11. Behind 11 first-quarter points from Alexia Nelson, SLU trailed 22-19 after the opening 10 minutes.
 
The Hatters stretched their lead to 36-22 early in the second quarter and pushed it to 47-27 before halftime.
 
Saint Louis put together a 9-0 run late in the third to trim the deficit to 59-45, then added an 8-0 burst to pull within 62-53 in the fourth. The Billikens cut it to 74-67 in the final minutes but couldn't get closer.
