GAME DETAILS

Hannah Larson and
Julia Simon had a goal and an assist apiece, but fourth-seeded Rhode Island defeated second-seeded Saint Louis 4-2 Wednesday night in an Atlantic 10 Conference Championship semifinal at Hermann Stadium.
•SLU fell to 14-4-2. Rhode Island, which will face top-seeded Dayton in Sunday's tournament title game, improved to 13-5-2.
•The Billikens struck first as Larson scored her second goal of the season in the 11th minute. Simon collected her first assist of the year.
•Rhode Island's Jill Rosenfeld netted an equalizer in the 40th minute, and the teams went to the locker rooms at intermission knotted 1-1.
•The Rams took their first lead of the night in the 54th minute on the first of two Lauren MacDonald goals.
•Simon and Larson teamed up once more in the 63rd minute to pull the Billikens even again. This time it was Simon adding to her team lead with her eighth goal and Larson notching her sixth assist.
•Kaia Rice put Rhode Island in front for good just 3:10 later, and MacDonald provided the final goal in the 76th minute.
