WHAT'S ON TAP?

  • Saint Louis hosts New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. Game time at Chaifetz Arena is set for 2 p.m.
  • The Billikens have a holiday break before hosting Principia on Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. in the non-conference finale. The Atlantic 10 Conference opener is set for Wednesday, Dec. 31, against Saint Joseph's at 3 p.m. at Chaifetz Arena.

FOLLOWING THE ACTION

  • Wednesday's game will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+. Colin Suhre and Matt Clark are on the call.
  • 104.1 FM / 1120 AM KMOX is the home for Billiken Basketball on the radio. Sunday's game will air strictly on 104.1 FM. Billiken Hall of Famers and longtime SLU men's basketball radio partners Bob Ramsey and Earl Austin Jr. will the call the action for all SLU games, both at home and on the road. Billiken Basketball sends a special salute to Rammer, who is in his 40th season as the radio voice of SLU hoops, and Austin who is in year No. 35. The duo were recently honored with the Burnes-Broeg at the Missouri Athletic Club's Jack Buck Awards.

  • At 10-1, the Billikens are off to the best start to a season since the 2011-12 team went 12-1. 
  • The Billikens have scored 100 or more points in four games this year for the first time in school history.
  • The Billikens lead the A-10 in the following categories (NCAA rank): Fastbreak points per game (6th), scoring margin (6th), free-throw percentage (7th), scoring offense (10th), effective FG% (13th), FG% (16th), and assists per game (18th).
  • The Bills are equally efficient on the defensive end. Opponents shoot just 36.6 percent against them, 7th in the NCAA. SLU is 29th in the country in KenPom's defensive efficiently metric. 
  • Saint Louis is fourth in the country in rebounding margin (+13.3) and seventh in the NCAA in rebounds per game (43.9).
  • SLU features a balanced scoring attack with five Billikens in double figures.  
  • Dion Brown leads the Billikens in scoring (12.6 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg). He is eighth in the NCAA in FG% (.667).
  • Robbie Avila leads the Billikens and all centers in NCAA Division I with 3.5 assists/game.
  • Trey Green (12.6 ppg) is second in the A-10 with 3.0 3-pointers per game. He has led SLU in scoring in a team-high four games.
  • Amari McCottry and Quentin Jones have each earned A-10 Player of the Week honors this year.
  • Robbie Avila has been named to preseason Watch Lists for the Naismith Trophy, Oscar Robertson Trophy, Wooden Award and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award. Last season he averaged 17.3 points and 6.9 rebounds. He led all centers in Division I in 3s made per game and assists per game. 
  • Billiken head coach Josh Schertz is in his 18th season as a collegiate head coach. His .776 winning percentage ranks No. 8 among active coaches in the NCAA.

ABOUT NEW HAMPSHIRE

  • The Wildcats enter Sunday's game 4-7 overall. They are coming off consecutive wins against Boston (88-82 in OT) and Stonehill (59-58).
  • Belal El Shakery leads New Hampshire in scoring (tied with 11.5 ppg), rebounding (8.0) and blocked shots (11).
  • Jack Graham averages 11.5 ppg, while Kijan Robinson turns in 10.9 ppg, giving UNH three players who score in double figures.
  • Comeh Emuobor is coming off a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Wildcats' win over Stonehill in their last outing.
  • The Wildcats are among the America East's top defensive teams as they yield 70.3 ppg.
  • Head coach Nathan Davis is in his third season at New Hampshire and 17th overall. He also coached at Bucknell and Randolph-Macon.
