Box Score RICHMOND, Va. - The Billikens overcame a 16-point seconf-half deficit to defeat VCU, 59-56.
VCU started strong, shooting 4 of 5 from three-point range in the first quarter to take a 22-14 lead. The Rams narrowly outscored the Billikens, 11-10, and led by nine at the half.
Saint Louis came out on fire in the second half. The Billikens shot 47 percent from the floor in the third quarter, including a 10-0 run to close the period, cutting the VCU lead to three.
SLU turned things around with zero turnovers in the second half.
Kennedy Calhoun posted another quadruple nickel, recording nine points, nine assists, eight rebounds, and five steals. Her rebounds and assists matched her season highs.
Brooklyn Gray finished with 14 points, while Shun'teria Anumele had nine. Both players scored nine points in the second half to help fuel the comeback.
The Billikens return to action Sunday at 1 p.m. Central when they face top-ranked Richmond on the road.
