ST. LOUIS — The Billikens fell to 8-8 with an 8-1 loss to Southeast Missouri State on Wednesday afternoon at Billiken Sports Center.
SLU trailed by three runs entering the bottom of the third, but Austin Neuweg hit his third home run of the season to cut the deficit to 3-1.
The Redhawks added two runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to seal the victory, 8-1.
The Billikens' pitching staff combined for 11 strikeouts and four walks.
Saint Louis returns to action for its conference opener against Saint Joseph's this weekend, with games scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at noon. All three games will take place at Billiken Sports Center.
