BILLIKENS HOST LINDENWOOD IN MIDWEEK NON-CONFERENCE GAME
•Saint Louis softball welcomes local rival Lindenwood to the Billiken Sports Center for a non-conference single game Wednesday, March 19. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
•Saint Louis leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in home runs per game (0.56) and walks (105, 28th nationally). The Billikens are second in the league and 52nd nationally in fielding percentage (.970), and they are third in on-base percentage (.361), fewest hits allowed per seven innings (7.83) and WHIP (1.64).
•Jane Kaniecki and Karsen Jany are neck-and-neck for the SLU batting average lead, hitting .321 and .320, respectively. Kaniecki leads the Billikens with 25 hits, while Jany owns a team-high .460 on-base percentage.
•Kaniecki is hitting .462 (6-for-13) over the last four games. Following a slow start, Jany has hit safely in 11 of her last 15 games, batting .378 (14-of-37) during that stretch.
•Abby Mallo is batting .303 with team highs in home runs (seven), doubles (six), RBIs (22) and slugging percentage (.658). Mallo is second in the A-10 in home runs per game (0.28) and third in slugging percentage.
•Natalie Sullivan carries a .284 batting mark and leads Saint Louis in runs (21), triples (three) and stolen bases (nine). All three of Sullivan's triples have come in the last four games. She is fourth in the A-10 in triples per game (0.12) and seventh in walks per game (0.64).
•In the circle, Taylor Hochman tops the SLU charts with five wins, a 2.84 ERA and 53 strikeouts. In the A-10 rankings, Hochman leads in innings (76 1/3), is second in starts (12) and is tied for second in complete games (five) and appearances (17).
•Abby Ulsas is batting .316 (6-for-19) over the last six games. Ulsas leads the Bills with 17 walks and ranks fifth in the A-10 in walks per game (0.68).
•Kaniecki (14) and Scout Gallagher (13) are second and third on the team, respectively, in RBIs. Gallagher is second with three home runs.
•Chloe Rhine stands fourth in the conference with 2.12 assists per game.
•Isabel Royle is third in innings (59), tied for fifth in complete games (four) and sixth in appearances (15) in the A-10 rankings.
 
HEAD COACH CHRISTY CONNOYER
•Now in her 15th season at the helm, head coach Christy Connoyer owns 362 Saint Louis victories. In addition to last year's A-10 Championship runner-up finish, Connoyer guided the 2023 Billikens to the program's first regular-season conference title, an achievement for which she earned A-10 Coach of the Year accolades.
•Connoyer recently was inducted into the Metro St. Louis Softball Hall of Fame.
 
SCOUTING LINDENWOOD
•Lindenwood is 12-12 overall and 3-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference after taking two of three at UT Martin Sunday and Monday.
•Pitching has been Lindenwood's strength this season as the Lions carry a 2.78 ERA and have allowed just 3.7 runs per game. Junior left-hander Ryleigh Owens is 5-4 with a 1.92 ERA. Junior right-hander Avery Wapp owns a 5-3 record and a 2.02 ERA to go with a .211 opponents' batting average and a 3.44 strikeouts-to-walks ratio (7.84 strikeouts and 2.28 walks per seven innings). Each pitcher has allowed just one home run.
•The Lions' offense is led by junior utility Jolie McMinn and senior outfielder Irelynn West. McMinn leads the team in batting average (.304) and RBIs (11) and has three home runs, while West hits .292 with team highs of four home runs and five doubles.

•The Billikens return to A-10 action March 22-23 for a three-game series vs. Fordham. Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game begin at noon.
