HENRICO, Va. – Saint Louis University women's basketball's season came to an end on Friday, falling to George Mason 87-57 in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship.
The Billikens fell behind 21-10 in the first quarter and George Mason continued to have shots fall, going into halftime leading 40-21.
Saint Louis outscored the Patriots in the third quarter and gained some momentum going into the final 10 minutes of play.
The Billikens were able to cut the lead to 57-45 early in the fourth quarter, but could not get it any closer as George Mason pulled away to advance to the Atlantic 10 semifinals.
Shun'teria Anumele had a team-high 15 points followed by
Mya Glanton with 10 points and eight boards.
Peyton Kennedy finishes her career in fifth place on the SLU women's basketball all-time scoring list with 1,504 points and second all-time in free throw percentage at 86.5 percent.
Kennedy Calhoun finishes sixth on the Saint Louis assist list with 395 and second on the steals list with 266.
The Billikens end the season with a final record of 15-18 and an A-10 mark of 7-11.
