•No. 2 seed Saint Louis (30-22) faces No. 5 seed Saint Joseph's (30-24) in an Atlantic 10 Conference Championship elimination game Friday, May 9. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Central at GW Softball Field in Washington, D.C.

•Saint Louis dropped into the elimination bracket after falling 6-5 to Fordham on Thursday. Saint Joseph's opened tournament play with a 2-1 loss to No. 4 George Washington before defeating No. 6 Loyola Chicago 4-3 and George Washington 6-1.
•The SLU-Saint Joseph's winner meets the loser of Friday's first game matching the tournament's remaining undefeated teams, No. 1 Dayton and No. 3 Fordham, Friday at 4 p.m. Central.

•SLU leads the all-time series with Saint Joseph's 34-23, a record that includes a 2-1 mark vs. the Hawks earlier this season in Philadelphia. The Billikens fell 3-2 in eight innings in the series opener but bounced back to post 8-3 and 8-1 victories. Saint Joseph's owns a 6-2 advantage over Saint Louis in A-10 Championship games.

Abby Ulsas and
Natalie Sullivan enjoyed strong offensive performances against Saint Joseph's in the 2025 regular-season series. Ulsas was 7-for-12 with four RBIs, while Sullivan's 6-for-11 effort included three doubles, a triple and a team-high five RBIs.
Abby Mallo (home run, double, four RBIs) and
Kendall Johnson (double) were 3-for-9.
Allie Marietta was 2-for-6 with a double and three sacrifices, and
Scout Gallagher produced two home runs, a double and four RBIs.

Isabel Royle collected both pitching victories, allowing just four runs in 12 innings.
Taylor Hochman was the tough-luck losing pitcher in the opener, conceding only three runs and six hits in 7 1/3 innings.

•SLU is aiming for its first A-10 Championship title and first NCAA Championship bid. The Billikens were tournament runners-up a year ago.
