Audrey Smith scored her second goal of the season early in the second half to cut Penn State's lead in half, but the 14th-ranked Nittany Lions answered with two tallies and went on to defeat the 23rd-ranked Billikens 4-1 Thursday night.
•
Caroline Chier's assist on Smith's goal was her first point as a Billiken. Chier became the ninth SLU player to record a point this season.
•Penn State grabbed the lead in the 17th minute and made it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Smith found the back of the net at the 52:00 mark to give the Billikens a chance, but goals in the 61st and 64th minutes put the Nittany Lions in firm command.
