Saint Louis travels to Ames, Iowa, this weekend for the Cyclone Invitational. The Billikens face host Iowa State on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Omaha on Saturday at 4 p.m.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
The Billikens (5-1) are coming off an undefeated weekend at the Billiken Invitational. SLU swept Austin Peay and Murray State and defeated Western Illinois 3-1.

Jetta Brenning, Kayla Jansen and Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Ellie Rink were named to the All-Tournament Team. SLU ranks fifth nationally in opponent hitting percentage, holding teams to .111. Brenning is one of four freshmen averaging more than 10 assists per set and is among the top 25 nationally.

Saint Louis last faced Iowa State in September 2022. The match went five sets and included a 39-37 second set. The Billikens led 2-0 before falling in a reverse sweep.

ABOUT THE OPPOSITION
Iowa State: The Cyclones (5-1) dropped their first match of the season Tuesday to UNI. ISU was picked ninth in the Big 12 preseason poll, with Maya Duckworth named to the Preseason Team. Four players have tallied more than 50 kills through 19 sets. Setter Morgan Brandt averages 11.21 assists per set, while Rachel Van Gorp leads the team with 10 aces. The Cyclones pace the NCAA with a .372 team hitting percentage.

Omaha: The Mavericks (2-3) earned both wins this season over Milwaukee. Omaha was picked fourth in the Summit League preseason poll, with Emily Huss and Kali Jurgensmeier named Players to Watch. Jurgensmeier leads the team with 76 kills, averaging 4.75 per set, ranking 11th nationally.
