Adee Broesder scored their first collegiate goals and
Eva Schreiber had a career-high two assists as Saint Louis overwhelmed SIUE in a 3-0 Billiken victory Sunday afternoon at Ralph Korte Stadium.
•
Hope Kim netted a goal and
Hannah Larson recorded an assist, both for a second consecutive game, as Saint Louis improved to 5-2 with its second straight win. SIUE fell to 1-6-1.
•Luebbert gave the Bills the only goal they would need in the 10th minute. She took Larson's pass from the right flank in the middle of the field, dribbled in a few feet and fired a 28-yard line drive just inside the left post.
•Despite the Billikens' statistical dominance, the score remained 1-0 until the 78th minute when they doubled the lead. From the left side, Schreiber flighted a perfect ball to a charging Kim, who headed it into the net from four yards out.
•Schreiber triggered the final scoring play as well. On a restart, she sent a high ball into a cluster of players at the penalty spot. The ball bounced free, and Broesder tapped it in from just inside the six.

•Saint Louis improved to 9-1-1 overall, and 4-0 in Edwardsville, vs. SIUE with its eighth consecutive win over the Cougars.
•The Billikens out-shot the Cougars 27-1 overall and 13-0 in shots on goal, posting season highs in both categories. SLU also had a season-high 16 corner kicks, earning a 16-3 advantage.
•The shutout was Saint Louis' fourth clean sheet of the season.
•The goals scored by Luebbert and Broesder give Saint Louis eight different goal scorers for their 12 goals this season.
•Schreiber's two assists moved her into a tie for the team lead with three helpers.
•Kim moved into a tie for the team points lead with six (2G, 2A).
•Larson moved up on the Billikens' career lists with her 85th start (tied for seventh) and seventh game-winning assist (tied for eighth).
