Larson Earns A-10 Offensive Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON – Saint Louis junior Sierra Larson was named the Atlantic 10 Conference field hockey Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Larson helped the Billikens to a 2-0 week, scoring three goals as the Billikens defeated Ohio and Lincoln Memorial to improve its record to 2-1 for the season.

Against Ohio, Larson scored a key insurance goal to help seal the 3-1 Billiken victory. It was the Bills' first win against Ohio since 1997.

The next day, Larson scored a pair of goals in a 6-0 victory against Lincoln Memorial.

Larson is tied with Olivia Smith for the team lead with three goals. Six different Billikens have scored – Abby Vidas (two), Macy Budd, Shaya Dry and Ignacia Manriquez have the other tallies for the Bills.

Larson is the first Billiken to earn A-10 Offensive Player of the Week honors since her teammate, Shaya Dry, earned the nod on Sept. 12, 2023.

SLU is next in action on Friday, Sept. 12, when it takes on Bellarmine in Louisville. Game time is 11 a.m. (CT).
