ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis has entered the Associated Press Top 25 men's basketball poll for the first time this season, checking in at No. 24 in the poll released Jan. 19, 2026. SLU is No. 23 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
It is the Billikens' first ranking in the AP poll since the 2020-21 season, when they were ranked for four weeks and climbed as high as No. 22.
The Billikens have won 11 straight and are 17-1 overall. They are coming off a pair of convincing home wins, defeating Fordham 78-56 on Wednesday and Richmond 88-63 on Saturday. Saint Louis' lone loss of the season came Nov. 28 on a neutral floor against Stanford in Palm Springs, falling on a last-second desperation 3-pointer.
SLU was ranked for 10 weeks during the 2013-14 season and reached as high as No. 10 in the country.
In all, this marks the 20th season the Billikens have been ranked in the AP Top 25. SLU's best ranking came in 1949, when it reached No. 1 in the inaugural AP Top 25 poll released Jan. 17, 1949, and again the following week on Jan. 24.
The Billikens hit the road for their next two games, traveling to Duquesne on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m. CT, and to St. Bonaventure on Friday, Jan. 23, at 4:30 p.m. CT.
