Thames Tabbed A-10 Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – Saint Louis redshirt junior guard Kellen Thames was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Thames led the Billikens in scoring in both games last week, registering 16 points in home wins over Fordham and Richmond. He shot 76.5 percent (13-of-17) for the week while also pulling down 5.0 rebounds per game.

For the season, Thames averages 10.6 ppg and is second on the Billikens with 5.8 rpg.

Thames is the third Billiken named A-10 Player of the Week this season, joining Amari McCottry (Nov. 17) and Quentin Jones (Dec. 8). It's the first time since 2019-20 that the Billikens have had three A-10 Player of the Week selections in the same season (Hasan French, Jordan Goodwin, Javonte Perkins).

The Billikens are in action tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 20) at Duquesne in a 6 p.m. (CT) tip.
