ST. LOUIS – Student-athletes in the Saint Louis University Department of Athletics achieved an aggregate grade point average of 3.55 for the fall 2025 semester. The GPA encompasses SLU's 18 sports as well as the Billikens' cheer and dance teams.
"The tradition of excellence in academic achievement by our Billikens was strongly upheld during the fall semester, and we congratulate the student-athletes for their accomplishments," Director of Athletics Chris May said. "We also express our sincere gratitude to faculty, administrators, coaches, support staff and family members, all of whom are deeply invested in the success of our young men and women.
"One of the core objectives of our department is to educate our student-athletes," May said. "It is gratifying to know that our Billikens embrace their academic opportunities and consistently establish themselves among the best that Saint Louis University and the Atlantic 10 Conference have to offer. They understand the value of a SLU education, and their motivation to excel academically matches their desire for success in competition."
Leading the way was the Billiken softball team, which posted a 3.82 GPA.
Also turning in GPAs above 3.5 were women's tennis (3.75), men's cross country (3.73), women's soccer (3.71), women's swimming and diving (3.70), men's tennis (3.67), men's swimming and diving (3.66), women's cross country (3.65), men's track and field (3.59), women's track and field (3.59), spirit squads (3.56), volleyball (3.55) and field hockey (3.54).
