Saint Louis embarks on a busy field hockey weekend, traveling to face Lock Haven in Atlantic 10 play on Friday before returning to St. Louis to host Maryville on Sunday.

The Billikens and Bald Eagles square off in an A10 matchup Friday at 11:30 a.m. (CT) in Lock Haven, Pa. The Bills then host the Saints on Sunday at noon (CT).

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS

Saint Louis enters the weekend with a 2-7 overall record and a 0-2 mark in A10 play. The Billikens opened conference action last Friday at home with a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Saint Joseph's.

Sierra Larson leads the Billikens offensively after scoring five goals over a two-match stretch that earned her A10 Offensive Player of the Week honors. Larson recorded a hat trick in Saint Louis' 6-0 victory over Mercyhurst and added two goals against Central Michigan.

Brynn Newborn has three goals and two assists for eight points. Freshmen Maddie Croghan and RB McGowan have five points (2G, 1A) apiece.

Abby Schalow has played the majority of the minutes in goal and owns a 2.64 goals against average and 5.8 saves per game (fourth in the A10).

Head coach Laura Hurff is in her second season at Saint Louis after serving as interim head coach last year. Assistant coach McKenna Sergi is in her first season on the Billiken sideline, while Gracie Burns serves as a graduate assistant coach.

ABOUT LOCK HAVEN

The Bald Eagles are 3-5 on the year, with wins coming against Mercyhurst, Colgate and Saint Francis. They fell 2-1 in overtime last Friday in the A10 opener against La Salle. 

Maddie Friend ranks second in the A10 in goals per game (1.0), assists per game (0.63) and points per game (2.62). Her 2.62 points per game ranks fifth in the NCAA. As a team, Lock Haven is second in the A10 with 2.56 goals per game.

ABOUT MARYVILLE

The Saints host Rhodes on Saturday before traveling across town to play the Billikens. Maryville enters the weekend 0-6 on the season. Consuelo Torres Moore has scored four of the Saints' five goals so far this season.

SLU FIELD HOCKEY COMPLEX

Street parking at the SLU Field Hockey Complex is located on LaSalle Street, which runs parallel to Chouteau Avenue. Parking also is available in the Hickory East Garage (3424 Hickory St., St. Louis, MO 63104). Please note the garage is a cashless facility. The cost is $2 per hour per exit, or $6 per day.
