NEWS & NOTES

  • Saint Louis is coming off one of the best seasons in program history, finishing 29-6 overall and 15-3 in Atlantic 10 play. The 29 wins were a school record, surpassing the previous mark of 28 set in 2012-13.
  • The Billikens captured a share of the 2025-26 A10 regular-season championship. SLU's 15 conference victories were the most in program history.
  • SLU made its 11th NCAA Tournament appearance last season, defeating Georgia, 102-77, in the opening round before falling to eventual national champion Michigan in the second round.
  • The Billikens set school records for points (3,053) and 3-pointers made (379) last season, averaging 87.2 points per game and 10.8 3-pointers per contest.
  • The Billikens return five players who averaged at least 9.1 points per game last season — Trey Green (10.7), Amari McCottry (10.5), Kellen Thames (9.7), Ishan Sharma (9.1) and Quentin Jones (9.1).
  • Saint Louis was picked to finish second in the 2026-27 Atlantic 10 Conference preseason poll, just one point behind preseason favorite VCU. Four Billikens earned preseason All-Conference honors – Green and Thames were named to the preseason first team, McCottry earned second-team recognition, and Sharma was selected to the third team. Thames and McCottry also were named to the preseason All-Defensive team.
  • Head coach Josh Schertz enters his third season at Saint Louis after guiding the Billikens to 48 wins over his first two seasons. Schertz went 19-15 in his first season before leading SLU to its school-record 29 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025-26.
  • Schertz owns a 48-21 record at Saint Louis and a 451-130 career record. His .776 career winning percentage ranks among the top 10 of all active NCAA head coaches across all three divisions.

ABOUT BRADLEY

  • The Braves went 21-13 overall and 13-7 in Missouri Valley Conference play a season ago. They earned an at-large bid to the NIT but fell at home to Dayton in the first round.
  • Bradley replaces the majority of its production from last season as it welcomes in 10 newcomers. BU's top returning scorer, Timoty van der Knaap (6.5 ppg), is out with a foot injury.
  • Head coach Brian Wardle is in his 12th season at Bradley. He is 207-160 overall with the Braves.
