GAME DETAILS
•
Hope Kim registered a goal and an assist to lead Saint Louis to a 2-1 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over La Salle Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia.
•SLU (10-2-4, 6-0-2 A10) maintained its grip on first place in the A10, extended its unbeaten streak to eight games, remained undefeated on the road and secured a berth in the A10 Championship that begins the first weekend in November. The Billikens would clinch the regular-season title and hosting privileges throughout the eight-team conference tournament should they win at Duquesne on Sunday.
•La Salle slipped to 7-5-4, 4-2-2.
•Saint Louis grabbed the lead in the sixth minute courtesy of a La Salle miscue. An Explorer headed the ball to La Salle goalkeeper Samantha Widnick, who couldn't find the handle as Kim and
Ashley Miller closed in. Kim managed a quick tap to Miller, who directed a shot from the middle of the box into an empty net.
•La Salle equalized with a penalty kick in the 24th minute.
•The Billikens scored the game-winner on a corner kick in the 59th minute. A La Salle player headed
Lauren Zangara's service toward
Lucie Schwartz, who directed the ball to Kim for the put-away from eight yards out.
