Saint Louis resumes play in Atlantic 10 Conference action by hosting Saint Joseph's on Saturday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The Billikens (3-3-3) are unbeaten in their last three matches. They have accumulated four points (1-0-1) in league play with a draw at Dayton and a home win against Duquesne. SLU is coming off a 1-1 draw against Drake last Tuesday at Hermann Stadium.
Saint Joseph's (3-2-4) lost 3-0 at Rhode Island in its last outing. The Hawks picked up an A10 point via a 2-2 draw against George Mason. Eddie Krupski and Jack Ross lead the team with two goals apiece. Goalkeeper Alex Smith has played every minute in goal and leads the league with four shutouts and ranks second with 4.11 saves per game.
Here are five additional facts in advance of the match:
1 // Luke Adams was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. He anchored a Billiken back line that yielded just three Duquesne shots in a 1-0 SLU victory over the Dukes on Sept. 26 (read more).
2 // Adams has scored in consecutive games for the Billikens and is one of four players with a team-leading two goals on the year, joining Tanner Anderson, Theo Franca and Andrew Heckenlaible.
3 // Lucas McPartlin has started the last two games for the Bills in goal. He has a 0.83 goals against average, ranking third overall in the A10 and third among freshmen goalkeepers in NCAA Division I.
4 // SLU head coach Kevin Kalish, a three-time A10 Coach of the Year, is in his ninth season at SLU and 15th overall as a collegiate head coach. Kalish is 85-37-38 during his time at SLU and 134-82-52 in his career.
5 // The Billikens and Hawks are meeting for the 14th time. SLU has never lost to St. Joe's, holding an 11-0-2 record and a 6-0 mark at Hermann Stadium. The teams last played in the regular-season finale in 2023, a 3-3 draw in Philadelphia. In a game in 2008, SLU's Kyle Patterson netted a natural hat trick in 2 minutes, 31 seconds against the Hawks, which currently stands as the fifth-fastest hat trick in NCAA history.
