LAST TWO A10 UNBEATENS SQUARE OFF SUNDAY AFTERNOON
• The last two teams without an Atlantic 10 Conference loss this season battle Sunday, Oct. 11, as the Saint Louis Billikens (8-2-3, 4-0-1 A10) take on the Loyola Chicago Ramblers (5-2-6, 2-0-3 A10) to begin the second half of the 10-game conference slate. Kickoff at Loyola Soccer Park is set for 1 p.m.
• The game will be streamed on ESPN+, and live stats are available. See the links above.
• The Billikens sit alone atop the A10 with 13 points. The Ramblers have sole possession of fourth place with nine points.
• In addition to trying to avoid a first conference loss, each team looks to extend another streak of its own. Saint Louis has yet to lose a road game this year, while Loyola hasn't lost on its home field in 2026.
• SLU and Loyola stayed undefeated in conference play on Thursday. The Billikens overcame Saint Joseph's 2-1 in St. Louis, and the Ramblers collected a 3-0 road win over St. Bonaventure.
• For a fifth consecutive time, and ninth time in the past 11 seasons, the Billikens reached the midway point of the A10 schedule without a loss.
• Saint Louis was predicted to finish second in this year's A10 race, while Loyola landed in fifth in the league's preseason poll.
SERIES HISTORY
• The SLU-Loyola series began in 1996. The Billikens lead 6-0-2 overall (4-0-2 as A10 opponents) and 2-0 in Chicago (1-0 as A10 opponents).
• The teams met twice last year in St. Louis, playing to a 0-0 draw in the regular-season finale before squaring off six days later in an A10 Championship quarterfinal. In the rematch, SLU set a program postseason record by scoring six goals in a 6-0 win.
•
Ashley Miller,
Audrey Smith and
Adee Broesder were among the goal-scorers in the quarterfinal win, while
Hope Kim and
Addison Stanciak had an assist apiece.
SAINT LOUIS IN THE NATIONAL PICTURE
• Through games of Oct. 8, SLU checked in at No. 54 in the NCAA Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), tops among A10 teams.
• Two of the Billikens' non-conference opponents are among the top 30 in the RPI – Alabama (No. 6) and Kansas (No. 30).
• SLU is rated No. 3 in the East Region by United Soccer Coaches.
DEFENSE ON TRACK TO BE ONE OF PROGRAM'S BEST
• Saint Louis allowed just seven goals in its first 13 games. That ties for the second fewest scored by Billiken opponents in the first 13 games of a season in program history.
• SLU conceded only five goals in non-conference play, matching the 2022 Billikens for fewest goals allowed by a Saint Louis team in an eight-game non-conference schedule.
• The Billikens have yielded more than one goal just once this season, falling 2-1 to Alabama in the season opener.
TRADITION OF BALANCED SCORING CONTINUING
• Through 13 games of the 2026 season, the Billikens are again featuring their traditional balanced attack. Twenty-two of SLU's 28 goals have been assisted, and all 22 have featured a different player combination.
• Twelve players have combined for the Bills' 28 goals, 15 have at least one assist and 17 have at least one point.
Audrey Smith leads with seven goals and 16 points (both career highs), while
Ashley Miller has a team- and career-high five assists.
Hope Kim joins Smith in double figures with four goals and four assists for 12 points, all tying her career highs.
