Brenning's Historic Weekend Earns Her Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON – Jetta Brenning was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Brenning became the first player in program history to record back-to-back triple-doubles and just the third Billiken to record four or more triple-doubles in a career. She also is one of only seven players in the country to have multiple triple-doubles.

The sophomore setter helped Saint Louis to a 2-1 record on the week, including the program's first-ever weekend sweep of VCU.

Brenning recorded 48 assists, 11 digs and 10 kills while hitting .526 in Friday's win over the Rams. She followed that performance with 44 assists, 10 digs and a career-high 15 kills in Saturday's five-set victory.

The Powell, Ohio, native averaged 9.14 assists, 2.14 digs and 2.07 kills per set across three matches while hitting .436 on the week. She also contributed four service aces and nine blocks.
