BILLIKENS TAKE FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK TO CENTRAL ARKANSAS TOURNAMENT
·Owners of a four-game winning streak, the Saint Louis Billikens (6-4) play in Central Arkansas' Michelle Short & Adam Brown Tournament Friday-Sunday, Feb. 20-22.
·SLU takes on Southeastern Louisiana (noon) and Central Arkansas (5 p.m.) on Friday; the same two teams Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively; and Evansville on Sunday (10:30 a.m.).

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
·After falling to tournament host UT Martin in the first game, Saint Louis rattled off four straight victories -- two apiece vs. Mississippi Valley State and Valparaiso -- at last weekend's Skyhawk Invitational.
·Allie Branstetter was named D1Softball Mid-Major Freshman of the Week and Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week.
·Karsen Jany and Abby Ulsas were included on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's "Selected Top Performances" list.
·Branstetter leads five Billikens batting .300 or higher with a .500 average. She is followed by Jany (.481), Ulsas (.441), Anna Christ (.391) and Abby Mallo (.333).
·Ulsas leads the team in hits (15), RBIs (10), triples (three), runs (13) and total bases (27). She also has six doubles, giving her a team-high nine extra-base hits. Ulsas tied an NCAA single-game record with three triples vs. Mississippi Valley State.
·Jany has team bests of seven doubles, nine walks and a .611 on-base percentage.
·Mallo's three home runs lead the Bills, and her nine RBIs are tied with Christ for second on the team. She became Saint Louis' all-time leader in RBIs (175) when she belted a two-run home run vs. Valparaiso.
·Branstetter is atop SLU's slugging percentage chart at 1.083.
·Addie Duttlinger has a team-high five stolen bases (5-for-5).
·The Billikens have a .312 batting average and a .405 on-base percentage. They rank eighth in the nation with 2.60 doubles per game, with their eight 2-baggers vs. Mississippi Valley State setting a school single-game record.

HEAD COACH CHRISTY CONNOYER
·Now in her 16th season at the helm, 2023 and 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year Christy Connoyer owns 393 Saint Louis victories. The Billikens' 95 wins from 2023 to 2025 are the most during a three-year span in program history.
·In addition to last year's A-10 Championship triumph and NCAA Tournament appearance, Connoyer guided the 2023 Billikens to the program's first regular-season conference title.
 
SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA
·Southland Conference member Southeastern Louisiana carries a 9-3 record after winning five straight and nine of its last 10 games, including a victory over then-No. 5 Oregon. The Lions received votes in this week's NFCA Top 25 poll.
·Senior pitcher Macie LaRue returns after garnering first-team All-Conference and third-team All-Region plaudits a year ago. Graduate outfielder Shenita Tucker, senior infielder Maria Detillier and junior infielder Chloe Magee also were 2025 first-team All-Conference performers.
·The Lions rank among the nation's top 20 teams in stolen bases per game (2.75), ERA (2.00) and WHIP (1.06).
·Senior catcher Cydnee Schneider owns a team-high .387 batting average. Sophomore infielder Shelby Morris checks in at .359, Tucker is hitting .321, and graduate outfielder Ka'Lyn Watson has the team's only two home runs while batting .310. Detillier and Schneider lead the run production with nine and eight RBIs, respectively.
·Three SELA pitchers have an ERA under 2.00 – junior Haley Crawford (1-1, 1.21), redshirt-sophomore Hallie Burns (3-0, 1.25) and graduate Cera Blanchard (3-0, 1.65). LaRue is 1-0 with a 2.86 ERA.
 
SCOUTING CENTRAL ARKANSAS
·Atlantic Sun Conference member Central Arkansas is 6-4 and brings a three-game winning streak into the tournament.
·The Bears feature four 2025 All-Conference players including first-team sophomore infielder Addie Graham, who also was named ASUN Freshman of the Year. Graduate pitcher Bailie Runner, senior infielder/outfielder Lilly Hood and sophomore infielder Kaitlyn Graham were third-team selections.
·UCA is 27th nationally in stolen bases per game (2.22) and 30th in fielding percentage (.980).
·Senior infielder Trinity Brandon has a team-high five doubles among her 12 hits and leads the team with a .400 batting average.
·Kaitlyn Graham (.364), graduate catcher Emma Robertson (.360, team highs of three home runs and 10 RBIs) and Addie Graham (.357, 6-for-6 stolen bases) also are among UCA's offensive leaders.
·Freshman Jaleigh White is 2-0 with a team-leading 1.24 ERA, while Runner is 3-1 with a 3.04 ERA.
 
SCOUTING EVANSVILLE
·Evansville of the Missouri Valley Conference posted a 4-5 record in its first two weeks of action.
·Junior infielder Niki Bode (second team) and senior utility Taylor Howe (All-Defensive) collected MVC postseason accolades in 2025.
·Senior infielder Jess Willsey leads the Purple Aces' offense with a .400 batting average. Sophomore first baseman/outfielder Maliyah Wilkins leads the team with three homers and 13 RBIs while hitting .367, and senior infielder Morgan Adams has a .320 average.
·Sophomore Kate Ridgway leads the pitching staff with a 2-0 record and a 3.07 ERA. Ridgway has a .158 opponents' batting average and 33 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings.
 
UP NEXT FOR THE BILLIKENS
·The Bills play their final regular-season tournament, Eastern Kentucky's Colonel Classic, Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28. SLU will take on Eastern Kentucky (twice), Pittsburgh, Bradley and SIUE.
