ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis field hockey was honored recently by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) for its work in the classroom.
The Billikens received the prestigious National Academic Team Award, had 11 student-athletes earn National Academic Squad recognition, and one earn a Scholar of Distinction honor.
Saint Louis was one of 60 Division I teams earning the esteemed National Academic Team Award. This prestigious acknowledgment is granted to programs that have achieved an exceptional team grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of the current academic year. In the Fall 2025 semester, Billiken field hockey student-athletes posted an impressive 3.54 cumulative GPA.
Student-athletes named to the National Academic Squad achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches. Those Billikens were Macy Budd, Ava Calma, Shaya Dry, Ella Etherington, Ashley Jones, Sierra Larson, Ignacia Manriquez, Hazel Merry, Josie Naeger, Abby Schalow and Abby Vidas.
Abby Vidas was recognized as a Division I Scholar of Distinction. These student-athletes maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or above through the fall semester.
