Billikens Enjoy Successful Final Day at A-10 Championships

HAMPTON, Va. – Several Saint Louis swimmers enjoyed strong performances Saturday on the final day of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.
 
Colton Mosley posted the Billikens' highest finish, claiming fourth in the men's 200 breast (1:59.42). Zach Byars also reached a championship final, finishing sixth in the men's 200 back (1:48.58).
 
Faith McAdam led the SLU women with a seventh-place finish in the 200 fly (2:02.69). Emmy Barrett qualified for the 200 back championship final and placed eighth (2:03.40).
 
Kyle Algrim established a school record in the men's 1650 free, finishing seventh in 15:30.46.
 
Also scoring for the Billiken men were Brae Sanchez, 10th in the 200 breast (2:01.48); Ethan Hudock, 11th in the 200 back (1:47.77); Noah Benton, 11th in the 1650 free (16:02.53); Logan Townsend, 12th in the 100 free (44.82); Evan Crim, 13th in the 200 back (1:48.55); Ben Militti, 14th in the 200 breast (2:02.98); Daniel Jekov, 16th in the 200 back (1:50.67); and the 400 free relay team of Tyler Williams, Frankie Adamo, Algrim and Townsend (seventh, 3:00.36).
 
Additional Billiken women's scorers were Meghan Eng, 12th in the 200 back (2:02.24); Sasha Jancekova, 13th in the 1650 free (17:17.27); Tierney Kohl, 16th in the 200 breast (2:19.45); and the 400 free relay quartet of Izabel Schmidt, Hanna Whitney, Kamila Nowak and Anya Brueggeman (ninth, 3:26.69).

Here are recaps of the first three days of the A-10 Championships:
 

Brae Sanchez earned a silver medal in the men's 100 breast, and Saint Louis set three school records on day three of the Atlantic 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.
 
Sanchez, who earned Saint Louis' first individual conference medal since 2022 and the program's first individual silver medal since 2019, covered the distance in 53.81. Colton Mosley also made the championship final, finishing sixth (54.60), while Tino Ferranti (10th, 55.22) and Drayton Beber (13th, 55.42) scored as well.
 
Hanna Whitney led the Billiken women, swimming a school-record 1:02.93 to place sixth in the 100 breast.
 
The men's 400 medley relay team of Evan Crim, Sanchez, Beber and Logan Townsend finished fourth with a school-record clocking of 3:14.56. Sanchez also set a school mark with his 100 breast split time of 53.53.
 
The SLU men produced two scorers in two events. Townsend placed sixth (1:37.99) and Tyler Williams was 13th (1:39.48) in the 200 free. Kyle Algrim finished seventh (3:56.39) and Noah Benton landed in 13th (3:58.69) in the 400 IM.
 
Ben Mears qualified for the championship final in 3-meter diving and finished eighth (272.20). Also scoring for SLU were Crim in the men's 100 back (11th, 48.85); Meghan Eng in the women's 100 back (13th, 55.90); and the women's 400 medley relay team of Eng, Kenna Cashman, Sarah Dingus and Anya Brueggeman (eighth, 3:47.99).
 

Kyle Algrim and Ben Militti scored in the men's 500 free Thursday to lead Saint Louis on day two of the Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championships.
 
Each swimmer improved his position from the prelims. Algrim moved up one spot to seventh in the championship final, clocking a time of 4:27.40, while Militti jumped three places to third in the consolation final for an overall finish of 11th (4:31.10).
 
Also scoring in an individual event was Ryan Fors, who finished 16th in the men's 200 IM (1:51.04).
 
The women's 200 free relay team of Izabel Schmidt, Sarah Dingus, Hanna Whitney and Anya Brueggeman placed ninth (1:34.18). The men's 200 free relay squad of Frankie Adamo, Logan Townsend, Jake Lundquist and Colton Mosley placed seventh (1:21.13).
 

Saint Louis swimmers captured a medal and set three school records Wednesday on day one of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.
 
The men's 800 free relay team of Logan Townsend, Kyle Algrim, Tyler Williams and Daniel Jekov finished third in 6:35.03 to claim the bronze medal, SLU's first A-10 Championships relay medal since 2019.
 
All three school marks were set in the women's 200 medley relay, in which SLU placed eighth. The school-record time of 1:42.21 included program bests by Meghan Eng in the 50 back split (25.94) and Kenna Cashman in the 50 breast split (28.21). Eng and Cashman were joined by Sarah Dingus and Izabel Schmidt.
 
Ben Mears scored in men's 1-meter diving, finishing 10th (240.20).
 
The men's 200 medley relay quartet of Evan Crim, Brae Sanchez, Drayton Beber and Colton Mosley finished sixth (1:28.80). The women's 800 free relay squad of Anya Brueggeman, Faith McAdam, Kamila Nowak and Karis Reynaga placed 10th (7:35.25).
