NEWS & NOTES

  • SLU has clinched a double bye in the A-10 MBB Championship.
  • The Billikens have won 20 straight games at Chaifetz Arena dating back to last year, an Arena record. • Head coach Josh Schertz was recently named to the Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year Watch List.
  • The Billikens are second in the NCAA in scoring margin (+20.7) and are eighth nationally in scoring offense (89.1 ppg).
  • Scoring 89.1 ppg, the Bills are on pace to break the A-10 team scoring record of 87.3 ppg, set by West Virginia in 1990-91.
  • SLU is third in the NCAA in 3FG% (.403). Its 311 3-pointers are already No. 2 in a single season in school history.
  • Defensively, the Bills lead the NCAA in FG% defense (.366). They are third nationally in 3FG% defense (.281).
  • SLU is also No. 8 in the NCAA in rebound margin (+9.4). It leads the NCAA in defensive rpg (30.9).
  • Robbie Avila leads SLU in scoring and is first among NCAA centers in assists/game (4.1) and 3s/per game (1.9). He is the third center in NCAA history with 200+ career 3-pointers.
  • Kellen Thames has averaged 20.0 ppg and shot .727 from the field (16-22) over the Bills' past two games vs. VCU and Dayton.
  • Trey Green leads the A-10 in 3-pointers made per game (2.96) and 3FG% (.457, third in the NCAA). His 80 3-pointers are already No. 8 on the Billikens' single-season list.
